Check out a demo of the many new features released this past December for MyAccountingLab and more.
In short that includes:
- Compatibility with Firefox on a PC and with Mac-based browsers.
- A newly redesigned MAL player, with an expandable content viewing area.
- For new students, or students who didn’t have Flash for any reason, a new Browser Check that tells them all at once what plugins if any that they need.
- TestGen questions available for homework assignment as well as for tests
- Ability to set the number of attempts for each question in a homework assignment
- The ability in Preview and Add for instructors to see the questions all worked out, or as a student might see them.
- When reviewing a student's test or homework assignment, an instructor can add question-specific comments for the student.
- Students are graded when they leave a question even if it’s not done; in the old courses they would just receive an incomplete until they finished every part.
- For instructors, a new Ask the Publisher feature allows them when previewing questions or reviewing results to send their questions or comments right to Pearson.
And in most US courses that also includes:
- A study plan that only opens one learning objective at a time, versus all at once.
- Pretests, posttests and sample homework chosen by instructors to provide assignments "out of the box."
- Bookmatch questions have all been renamed to be “book/static”.
- Optional Alt/static questions that instructors can assign as alternatives to the bookmatch versions.
- “Objective” has been changed to “Learning Objective” throughout the site.
The new MyAccountingLab Player is available for select courses now and with all new courses launching in Spring and beyond.
