On August 28, 2009, the MyAccountingLab® release included updates to make it easier to create assignments by adding a new filter, informative tooltips, and the ability to add tips to individual questions. This patch release gives students more “I Get It” moments, while providing you with more options and flexibility for your course!
New Features
- Instructions for Individual Questions
- While creating assignments, instructors can add instructions to individual questions, giving students tips or reminders on how to work a particular question.
- Additional Assignment Manager Filter
- When selecting questions for assignments, instructors can use a filter to show only questions that are in the Study Plan.
- Informative Tooltips for Questions
- Instructors viewing the list of questions in the Assignment Manager can now see tooltips showing the question name and learning objective.
- More Granular Advanced Exports
- Student performance on assignments and the Study Plan down to the objective level is now available for export. Instructors who select this new Advanced Export type can choose from many parameters, including new options such as median score, total time spent per student, and median time spent per chapter. (Median time spent, as well as average time spent, will also be available on Item Analysis pages and exports.)
- Smarter Multimedia Library
- The Multimedia Library now shows only the learning aids and course coverage that instructors select in the Course Manager.
- Users can right-click an accounting table and save the data table as a CSV file.
- Users are now able to save the graded or ungraded data in a single accounting table to a comma-delimited file (.csv). This format can be easily imported into popular spreadsheet programs for additional use or analysis. This ability existed in the older, Windows-only version and did not in the first release of the Flash-based player.
